Why Africa Arise?
Africa,
Go through, Go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people;
Build up, Build up the highway!
Take out the stones, Lift up a banner for the people.
Isaiah. 62:10 (NKJV)
A Celebration
The Lord Jesus Christ has spoken many times to His children, that His joy should remain in us and that our joy should be full and complete.
The Africa Arise event should be a joyful celebration!
We will celebrate what our Lord is doing in the Nations and make every effort to bring glory to the name of Jesus Christ.
Testimonies of victory and light over darkness will be celebrated in every individual, community and nation who express His holiness in Africa.
A Challenge
As the church of Jesus Christ in Africa, we need to:
- be real about the challenges we face;
- expose the idols we serve;
- acknowledge the lack of true discipleship that leads to effective missions;
- be honest why the Church is so divided and does not operate in Oneness;
- put good discipleship training strategies in place to overcome these challenges;
- acknowledge our lack of prayer, and inability to first move things in the spiritual realm before we come with efforts of transformation;
- challenge the worldviews of secular humanism and animism that destroy the dreams of so many young people in Africa.
We believe every challenge needs to be handled in humility, brokenness and repentance.
A Prophetic Declaration
God’s people have seen images of bright lights, fires burning, and rivers flowing as expressions of His Spirit moving from the South to the North of Africa. In line with His Word, we acknowledge that we should not do anything that has not already been confirmed by the prophetic voices spoken over Africa in the last 100 years.
We declare that only the Lord will fulfil His Word in His time, but the question is:
“Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?” (Hag. 1: 4)
Lets act in obedience and declare our hope and destiny of Africa as a light to the nations in the end times?
An Action
How wonderful it would be if the body of Christ starts functioning as a family and marches together as an army - not as individuals, but as His Church under One head and commander, Jesus Christ. Imagine what a blessing it will be if we stand together in a relationship with Christ where we hear Him clearly speaking to us.
Now is the time to stop talking and to start doing. “Doing”, that comes from the Body of Christ knowing that Christ is Lord and not only ourSaviour. “Doing” that is not based on competition, striving and personal gain.
